Nencini collaborates and exchanges knowledge with the most important Italian and leading University Hydraulic laboratories all over the world. Ensuring absolute quality to its products, Nencini carries out tests on all its valves, both installed on site and on prototypes.
Design Methods
The FEM (Finite Element method) is used to analyse the strength of the valve and of its components, according to the ASME code.
The CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) is used to check any cavitation phenomenon and the hydraulic performances of the valve, on each opening position. An acoustic simulation software is used to study the propagation of vibration and sound in the pipes, with reference to Standard EN 60534-8-4.
Materials and coatings
Nencini is a leader in providing high-quality products by offering a vast range of materials to meet diverse customer needs. We are open to use of specific materials requested by customers, even those compliant with International Standards (DIN, ISO, ASTM).
Material selection, including potential surface treatments, is crucial and depends on the valve's required mechanical resistance to stress and wear, as well as its chemical resistance to internal flow and external agents.
Our main materials and coatings include: ductile cast iron, cast carbon steel, aluminum bronze, various stainless steels, structural steel, special alloys (Inconel, Monel), and a variety of painting and lining applications, with other options available on demand.
